Recently we had the privilege of offering end-of-life care to a young woman whose large family was able to visit and be with her as often as she chose, right up until the end of her life. A memory that will stay with me of that care, is seeing members of our guest’s family – children and grandchildren, including a young baby – relaxing on the front lawn in the shade, under our beautiful pine tree and taking time out to be together as a family, while they lovingly visited their Mother and Grandmother. It is when you experience the care at Anam Cara or witness it with your own eyes that you can fully understand why it is such a special place.
