Each year we regularly plan days to celebrate Palliative Care Week – May, Volunteer Week – May and Carers Week – October. Our birthday we celebrate on November 11th. These days are wonderful opportunities to bring the Anam Cara community together at the hospice and are very enjoyable.

Melbourne June Gala
Our Melbourne Foundation Committee have proudly hosted this important fundraising event at the Park Hyatt in 2014, 2015 and 2016.
And we’re doing it again! Our gala will be held on Saturday 17th June 2017 at the Park Hyatt, Melbourne. Mr Ian Cover will once again be our MC, and Debra Byrne will provide the entertainment. Online bookings can be made at www.trybooking.com/ORVU.
MC Ian Cover (Coodabeen Champions): “I am amazed and uplifted by the efforts that people put into all the organisations and events that I attend, but there was a special something about the spirit of the Anam Cara evening that made for a truly memorable event”
Please contact our Event Coordinator, Elizabeth Gore on 0438 336236 for further information.
Art House Film Series
We have now wrapped up our highly successful and entertaining Art House Film Series at Colac Cinemas. For several years from April to August, we have held film afternoons on the third Sunday of the month. With tickets being only $15 and with a scrumptious afternoon tea on offer, our film series were well attended.
Many thanks to Pauline and the staff of Colac Cinemas for their generous support of Anam Cara House through our film series each year. We look forward to starting again in 2017.
Cattle Club Muster
The annual Cattle Club Muster is held each October down by the river on the Gellibrand property. Members and supporters are treated to lunch and an inspection of the cattle and pastures, spending their Sunday afternoon in a beautiful part of the world.
